The capital city turned “Amitabh-may” last evening as the 12th edition of “A for Amitabh” brought together hundreds of fans to celebrate the legendary Amitabh Bachchan through his timeless songs and cinematic charm. The event, hosted at the Andhra Auditorium on Lodhi Road, featured powerhouse performances led by singer Vineet Chaudhary, popularly known as “Stage ka Bachchan.”
As soon as Vineet began the iconic number “Arey Deewano Mujhe Pehchano, Kahaan Se Aaya Main Hoon Kaun,” the crowd erupted with excitement. The evening started with the classic “Parda Hai Parda” and moved into a nostalgic journey of Amitabh Bachchan’s musical hits. Singer Anindita captivated the audience with her soulful rendition of “Ae Ri Pawan Dhoonde Kise Tera Mann” from Bemisal, reviving golden memories.
The tempo rose when the electrifying beats of “Pyar Karne Wale Pyar Karte Hain Shaan Se” and “Dekha Ke Tumko Dil Dola Hai” filled the hall. Supporting performers Dr. Manvi, Maya, Gulshan, and others delivered brilliant renditions, while music by Neeraj Gauswami and his team maintained the musical rhythm and magic throughout the show.
A highlight of the evening came when Vineet Chaudhary appeared in a sparkling light-embedded outfit, recreating Amitabh Bachchan’s legendary “Sara Zamana Haseeno Ka Deewana” act. The audience gave him a standing ovation, echoing chants of “Big B forever!”
Fans also participated in an interactive Amitabh Bachchan quiz, testing their knowledge about the superstar’s career. The event was seamlessly hosted by RJ Geetika from All India Radio, who kept the audience engaged and entertained.
Prominent guests including AICC Secretary Abhishek Dutt, Padma Shri Jitendra Singh Shunty, and actor Rajesh Bhati inaugurated the event with a lamp-lighting ceremony and extended warm tributes to Amitabh Bachchan.
Concluding the event, Vineet Chaudhary thanked the audience and wished Amitabh Bachchan a long, healthy life. The “A for Amitabh” event once again proved that the charisma of Bollywood’s “Shahenshah” continues to reign in the hearts of millions.
