India and Singapore marked 60 years of diplomatic relations with a special event titled “India-Singapore at 60”, highlighting the deepening economic and strategic partnership between the two nations.
Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal attended the event alongside Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Siow Huang. The theme of the event’s Business Session was “Partnership for Growth and Innovation”.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister Goyal underscored the importance of expanding business-to-business opportunities between Indian and Singaporean enterprises. He stressed the need for enhanced collaboration in trade, investment, and technology to build a more balanced, inclusive, and future-ready economic partnership.
The India-Singapore partnership, built on decades of trust and mutual cooperation, continues to serve as a model of regional collaboration. Both countries have consistently deepened cooperation in sectors such as finance, technology, startups, energy, and sustainable development.
The event celebrated the success of 60 years of diplomatic ties while also setting the stage for new avenues of growth, innovation, and investment in the years ahead.
