Aizawl: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin his multi-state tour of the Northeast today with a visit to Mizoram, Manipur, and Assam, where he will launch a series of infrastructure and development projects.
The Prime Minister will first arrive in Mizoram, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth over ₹9,000 crore at Aizawl this morning. He is also expected to address a public gathering during the event.
Later in the day, Mr. Modi will travel to Manipur to launch several development projects valued at over ₹8,500 crore. At Churachandpur, projects worth ₹7,300 crore will be inaugurated, followed by another set of projects worth ₹1,200 crore in Imphal, where he will also deliver an address.
In the evening, the Prime Minister will visit Assam to participate in the centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Guwahati and address the gathering.
Tomorrow, Mr. Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of major infrastructure and industrial projects worth more than ₹18,530 crore in Assam. He will participate in events at Darrang and Golaghat, including the inauguration of the Assam Bio-ethanol Private Limited, the Numaligarh Refinery Plant, and the laying of the foundation stone for the Polypropylene Plant.
On Monday, the Prime Minister’s schedule includes West Bengal and Bihar. In Kolkata, he will inaugurate the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference-2025. Later in Bihar, he will inaugurate the new terminal building of Purnea Airport and launch projects worth around ₹36,000 crore. He will also establish the National Makhana Board, marking a major boost for Bihar’s agricultural economy.
