PM Modi’s two-day Gujarat visit to focus on ₹5,400 crore development projects, launch of Suzuki’s first global electric SUV “e VITARA,” and major rail, road, and urban infrastructure upgrades.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat on August 25 and 26 to inaugurate and dedicate a series of development projects valued at over ₹5,400 crore. The initiatives, spanning infrastructure, energy, and mobility, are aimed at strengthening regional growth and advancing India’s push toward sustainable development.

On August 25, the Prime Minister will address a public gathering at Khodaldham ground in Ahmedabad, where he will launch multiple projects related to urban development, roads, and railways. Among the most anticipated highlights of the visit is the inauguration of localized production of hybrid battery electrodes and the launch of Suzuki’s first global Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the “e VITARA.” The rollout marks a significant milestone in India’s electric vehicle sector and reflects the country’s growing emphasis on green mobility and energy self-reliance.

In addition to these initiatives, PM Modi will dedicate railway projects worth more than ₹1,400 crore, including the doubling of the Mahesana–Palanpur Rail Line. This upgrade is expected to significantly improve passenger and freight connectivity in northern Gujarat, ease travel, and accelerate regional economic activity.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for several key infrastructure projects in road networks, power distribution, and urban development. These projects are designed to expand economic opportunities, create jobs, and enhance public services for the people of Gujarat.

Officials highlighted that the visit underscores the government’s commitment to boosting infrastructure while aligning with the larger vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. By promoting domestic production of advanced battery technologies and launching a global BEV from Indian soil, the visit is expected to signal India’s emergence as a hub for sustainable mobility solutions.

PM Modi’s two-day visit is anticipated to energize both industrial stakeholders and local communities, reinforcing Gujarat’s position as a key driver of India’s growth story.
