Building Bonds Beyond Boundaries
The 6th Foundation Day of Allahabadi Global Connect (AGC) – A Facebook community was celebrated with great enthusiasm at 38 Barracks Restaurant and Bar, Connaught Place, Delhi. Around 90 members from across Delhi-NCR participated, making the event vibrant and highly engaging.
The celebration began with the launch by Mrs. Shikha Darbari -Retd. IRS of two books — “Our Mindstation” by Ashish Beri and “Shabdon Ki Vaccine” by Anuj Anhad. This was followed by an interactive introduction session, where members shared insights about their profession, current location, and areas of expertise.
The event also featured a lively musical segment with performances by Bollywood singer Anuja Sinha, along with Archana Singh, Viplav Mishra, and Dr. Anant Tiwari. Adding to the charm, several AGC members showcased their talents, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. The program concluded on a high note with the popular Allahabadi anthem, “Nakabandi Song.”
Overall, the celebration was inspiring, energetic, and deeply engaging, reflecting the strong bond within the AGC community.
More Than a Network—A Family
Community building is about creating meaningful connections, shared identity, and a sense of belonging among people. Allahabadi Global Connect (AGC) is a strong example of how a community can grow organically through a common cultural and emotional bond.
AGC Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic on April 5, 2020, AGC began with the vision of connecting people from Prayagraj (Allahabad) across the globe. In a time of isolation, it became a platform for interaction, support, and engagement. Over time, it evolved into a vibrant global family of over 20,000+ members, active chapters in five cities across India.
AGC’s success in community building lies in its inclusive approach—bringing together individuals from diverse professions while keeping cultural roots at the center. Activities such as networking sessions, cultural programs, knowledge sharing, and celebrations strengthen relationships and foster trust among members.
It demonstrates that a strong community is not just about numbers, but about engagement, shared values, and consistent efforts to connect people beyond geographical boundaries.
AGC is the brainchild of Saurabh Asthana, well supported by Amitabh Laloriya and Vineet Khare with their expertise, with continuous support from its dedicated moderators — Neelam Srivastava, Vinod Swaroop, Sunita Patro, Nidhi Srivastava, and Pankaj Seth — who remain the core strength of the organization.
